This class will teach you how to estimate rope for a macrame project to save you from running out of rope too early or wasting materials but cutting too much cord that you don't need. Being able to estimate rope for a project means you can adapt patterns you have that you wish to tweak, freestyle a project that you have seen, and are inspired to try or completely invent your own designs from scratch. This class will take you through the considerations you need to take to calculate the rope measurements accurately such as what rope size/type to use; what knots are being used; how many unknotted cords are part of the design and differential use of inner and outer cords in a pattern. The class uses lots of examples and visuals for you to see all the considerations explained and there is a downloadable attachment under the 'Why Estimating Cord Is Important' section that gives you a rough guide to a ratio rule on how much cord to use when knotting
